strikes again!

As I mentioned in my last post, I am here again on a night shift, wishing the night away. It's amazing how much I can want my bed when I can't have it!

First up, I must let everyone know (and I apologise to CLG for being slack and not doing this before) about a great story here on JoeUser. Please amble over to embar (address at bottom of page) and read it from the beginning. It's fantastic, and I really don't know where it all comes from! : )

Well, I think this is going to be a bitty blog, and I think I'll just put 'em down as they come to me (thoughts, that is!).

Broody. That's me at the moment. Very! Stems from the fact that it is almost a year since I had a miscarriage, and actually having a baby has really been on my mind recently. I broached the subject with blokey and although he wants kids, he wants to not owe so much money. Also, he has suddenly started saying he wants to get married first! It's a silly thing, but for a while back there I was pestering about getting married (to which his answer is "one day"!!), and now that I've got on the baby bandwagon, he's changed to the marriage one! Firstly, though, we need money. Weddings cost : ( I've made him out to be a bit of an ogre there. It's not true - he's lovely! Just not as much in a rush as me...

My own sentiment is that I want a child more than anything at the moment, and it really is starting to consume me. I think that we would find a way, even if money was tight. You have to - it's another life.

But it's not likely to happen just yet.

There goes that stupid bell again. It's 5.10am, or there abouts, and the main bell that rings when someone phones us does these 2 short rings for no reason at all. It's quite loud, and right in the corridoor where most of residents sleep. It seems to do it every couple of hours, and is a right royal pain in the arse. It's only been since we had a whole new phone system installed a couple of weeks back, and ever since then it's been nothing but trouble. Ah well, the price of technology... BS!!

I drink too much tea. All this caffeine and tannin can't be good for me. I've got scummy teeth and nothing to clean them with, which is nasty. When I get to go home, I'll go straight in the bathroom and brush them! Then diving into bed and cuddling my blokey is the next priority of the morning. Having to do a night duty always screws up the next day, and I feel guilty for sleeping even though I've been awake nearly all the day before, and all night! It hasn't worked out like that this weekend though because I've done 2 nights on the trot, so yesterday I was mostly resting and not doing much. This weekend really hasn't existed! I'm doing a sleep-in at my other job tonight, and then I'm doing a sleep-in here on wednesday night. So all I can say is I hope the money's worth it!!

Told you it would be random...

Oh dear. I have 2 empty mugs and one full one on the desk. I get so lazy sometimes. I'll have to make the effort to tidy up before the next officer comes on duty!! And it's monday morning so this desk will be used by the admin staff.

Anyway, I think I'll go and have a read of some other posts as I'm getting bored of my own thoughts.

Ey, nightwatchwoman ! I have been up forever, doing this, doing that, but before I turned in just wanted to see if you had anything up here. Thanks for the plug, and there's a long, LONG answer to your question in the comment section at the end of chapter eight. Now, I've got to get to bed and I am grateful that for the first time in a while I've got a bit of a holiday and don't have to be up at six a.m!

Night, Helen!

Oh, and if you get to my blog it links to another blog by a college student named London Kennedy and she's my friend and it's totally awesome and I think you'd love it and it would keep you awake through the lonely nights.

So much more to say, but not now.

Children are expensive, but if you don't dress them in fashionable clothes, buy expensive toys and give them their own bedroom at first, they are affordable. Love and attention is what children really need. So if your bloke agrees, go ahead and have a baby. As for a wedding, why does it have to be expensive. Just make it fun.

You can delete "deleted"'s comments. Losers like him just want attention.

and kike jews like you just want money. By buying off real creative programming genius's and whoring their once free software out for millions.

And look at it this way: the more comments you get, no matter how negative they are, just boost your ratings on Joe User.
